The Kanz website is for educators who wish to make learning interesting and exciting for students. Here you will find teaching resources that will bring the cultural legacy of the UAE into the classrooms. Programs and teaching resources are created based on the “Philosophy of Progressivism” developed by John Dewey which focuses on experiential learning, and the “Philosophy for Children” developed by Mathew Lipman, an inquiry-based approach to learning which focuses on teaching thinking and reasoning skills.
We offer affordable and innovative digital curriculum programs and resources for teachers to foster 21st century skills in students surrounding common themes and features of the UAE. The programs are designed as a blend of place-based learning and guided project-based learning for ages 5-8 and 9-12 middle school and high school.
Through the curriculum programs we aim is to instill in students the values of care, compassion and, respect for the environment in line with the vision of our legendary leader the late Sheikh Zayed. These programs also make good holiday assignments to keep students active and thinking during holidays. Math teaching resources with a cross-curricular link to UAE culture and heritage for ages 5-8 and 9-12 are also available on our site. Furthermore, we are introducing walking curriculum programs for schools that can be used on educational trips to wetlands, parks, wadi and forest areas in the UAE.
