WETLANDS OF THE UAE – CURRICULUM PROGRAM

Whole school innovative community program about the conservation of the wetlands, the natural treasures of the UAE. This program aims to inculcate in students the values of protecting the environment, natural resources and the conservation of biodiversity of the UAE, in line with the vision and philosophy of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

This curriculum program contains:

1. Inquiry based learning activities for Years 1-8 & high-school

This curriculum program which is a blend of Place-based learning and Project-based learning is about the Wetlands of the UAE.  The learning through this program is inter-disciplinary and is implemented through the pedagogy of inquiry-based learning, experiential learning and the 6 C’s of education – creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, communication, citizenship/culture and, character education/connectivity. Activities are differentiated and Assessment for learning strategies is also used.
